LIP BLUSH PREP + AFTERCARE

Day 1 – Lips will be swollen and bright.

Day 2 – Swelling will go down and lips will go darker.

Day 3 – Lips will start to peel.

Day 4 – Peeling continues.

Day 5 – All peeling is gone.

- The area will feel a bit sore and will look quite intense. There may be some swelling and minor bruising that only lasts for 1-2 days. Applying ice can reduce bruising and swelling.

- Fluids will leak from the tattoo to form scabs.

- Do not want these fluids to sit on your tattoo and form these scabs.

- Wipe your tattoo every hour with a wet cotton round and pat the area dry to ensure no fluids sit and form scabs.

- You may ice the skin if it is feeling tender or swollen after the procedure. Wrap an ice pack or a zip lock of ice in a napkin and place on the area for as long as desired. After each hour, wipe and reapply the ointment.

- Moisturize as often as possible with ointment.

- Do not touch your lips with dirty hands. Do not pick, peel, rub or scratch off the scabs. Let the scabs fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring, loss of pigment or infection.

- Do not eat anything too spicy, or with too much citrus. Be careful when eating to not rub any scabs off and drink through a straw.

- Keep your lips as dry as possible. Do not get it too wet for too long.

- Do not sleep on your face to prevent scabs from lifting prematurely. Use a new/freshly washed pillow case to avoid infection.

- Do not use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.

- No direct sunlight/tanning booths.

- Avoid saunas, pools, steam rooms or hot tub.

- Avoid facials, chemical treatments, and Botox until 4 weeks past procedure.

- Avoid long term sun exposure or UV rays/tanning beds. This can alter how the color heals.

Inform your technician of your permanent make up at the time of any laser procedures or MRIs.

It is strongly recommend that you do not use any of the following on your tattoo: Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrogen Peroxide, Glycolic acid, Apple cider vinegar, Vitamin E and C, and Retinol. these products can lighten or fade your tattoo faster.

Wear sunscreen - UV rays will deteriorate, lighten and fade the pigment faster.

Treatment does fade after 1-3 years depending on your skin and lifestyle. Touch-ups are necessary to maintain the longevity and overall beauty of your pigment.

If you have oily skin, an iron deficiency, or a very strong immune system, your pigment will not last as long and will not heal as crisp as others.

Touch ups can be scheduled once you're 6 weeks healed. ($200+)

- You can return to your normal face washing and makeup routine.

- Note: After the scabs come off your tattoo may have a milky/grey hue to it. This means the surface of the skin is healed, but underneath layers still need time to heal.

- Once you're 6 weeks healed you'll be able to see the true result and at this time you can book your touchup.

- Once healed your lips will be softer and not as crisp.

- The results vary with each individual and are extremely dependent on your skin and how you care for it during the healing process. It may take more than one session to achieve your desired result.

Touch-ups are not required. Touch-ups are to make changes to your PMU. You can make it darker, thicker, small adjustments to the shape, etc.

At about 6 weeks healed you'll be able to see the true shape, size and color.
